Vulcano is the southernmost island in the Sicilian archipelago of the Aeolian Islands. It is perfect for those who want to combine a seaside holiday with excursions on the volcano or on the nearby islands of Salina, Lipari, Alicudi, Filicudi and Stromboli, all reachable with the daily ferries from the island itself. In addition, on Vulcano you can take mud baths or soak in the thermal pools which are about 2 km from the villa, or bathe on the famous black sand beaches which are 1 Km away (10 minutes walking). In the centre (2,5 km from the villa) are markets, restaurants, bars, a chemist, automated cash dispensers and you can rent bikes, rubber dinghys, quad bikes and cars. Being an island, it is accessible only by ferry, usually departing from Milazzo, so we suggest, especially in high season, to book beforehand and we also recommend that you obtain money in cash in Milazzo before boarding the ferry. Two other important recommendations concern checking with the ferry company, even on the same day, about weather conditions and any delays in departure and organizing your journey to arrive on the island in the morning or early afternoon, despite the
