It's a cute little flat with four (!!!) levels, including the rooftop terrace which is obviously the highlight of the apartment. It's higher than most surrounding houses making it ideal for sunbathing. Inside, the bed is comfy, the wifi is fast and the kitchen is the best equipped I've ever seen in a rent flat: if you cook, you'll love having proper knives and pans and all. Also, we had basic ingredients (like oil or salt) available, so it's very much like taking a friend's apartment for a weekend. I also has a carefully written guide for the area which is nice. Oh, and expect _narrow_ stairs.
I took mi first steps in this field this year. Since the very beginning it was a great experience both for my guests and myself: they enjoyed my attitude to the hospitality and I learned more and more about how to turn an apartment into a perfect holiday accomodatin. Sestri Ponente is a cute suburb of Genova. Even though it's historically an industrial area, you'll have a busy pedestrian main street (two short blocks from the apartment which is in a nice little street), a lot of decent trattorias, pescherias, bakers, two Carrefours within minutes, the whole coastal Italy thing while not being mass tourism infected at all. The stop for the train that takes you to downtown is 7 minutes away from the flat.
