My wife and I have understood the potential of quality self catering rentals along the way of the positioning of our first apartment: “The Red House”. We decided that this could be our future full time occupation in the December 2009 and we are now managing successfully a number of properties in the historic centre of Venice.
This apartment is in Santa Marta, the most hidden part of DorsoDuro and in a very typical area called Santa Marta. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, a twin and a single and a nice bathroom. The flat has just been restored. The great advantage of this apartment is the number of windows and its brightness. The kitchen is fully quipped and the rooms are spacious. There is a Juliet balcony and a side view of a canal.
The area is very quiet and with just 10 minutes’ walk you can reach the very lively Campo Santa Margherita and the promenade of Zattere that is very famous for being sunny and full of excellent ice cream shops. Campo Santa Margherita has 18 bars open till late at night and it is the centre of §venetian night life during most of the year. Zattere has always been the promenade of the venetians from spring to Autumn and the perfect jogging course in the morning and evenings. The famous “Gianduiotto” of Nico ice-cream bar can be eaten only at the Zattere and the famous “cicchetti” of the “Hostaria al Cantinon” is just few steps away.
