Informazioni sull'host
I live just around the corner so am always available for local info or to provide anything that you require that is not in the apartment. The apartment is spacious, modern and has everything you need for a holiday, including a well equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, underground parking and most importantly is just steps away from a very long sand beach with calm seas perfect for swimming for exercise or just cooling off.
I bought my apartment 10 years ago when I visited Pizzo for a few weeks and fell in love with the place. After finally finishing a 17 year career as Private Yacht Crew I moved here permanently 2 years ago and have never regretted it. I go hiking several times a month, I take "tarantella" (local dance) lessons so attend concerts or festas regularly, I am always exploring in the area and finding new adventures, meeting new friends that teach me how to cook traditional Calabrese food - and also provide me with fresh vegetables, olive oil, vino and grappa - all "fatto a casa" (homemade). I am an avid triathlete so can usually be found swimming along the coast at 6:30 in the morning or taking a cycle to one of the many villages in the surrounding hillsides for a coffee.
People will say that the biggest attraction to this area is the crystal blue sea, the long sand beaches, tartufo and gelato, attractions like Piedigrotta, Castello Murat, Tropea, Scilla, the National Parks of Aspromonte and Sila, kiteboarding in Gizzeria, island hopping around the Eolie Islands, taking side trips to Sicily, watching the sunset over Stromboli in the evening, drinking Aperol Spritzers in the piazza - but personally I think the biggest attraction to the place is the unspoilt beauty of the people, the culture, the food and the hospitality. This is Italy at its best! This IS Italy.
