Informazioni sull'host
It's an authentic fortified farmhouse typical in the Puglia region built in 1789. It's one of the few masserias in the area that can be rented entirely and not just by rooms, and it's one of the most authentically preserved. The masseria is surrounded by 14 hectares of working olive groves, consisting mostly of centenarian trees. It is located just off the main road between Ostuni and its Blue Flag beaches, making it extremely convenient as a base to visit Puglia's beautiful towns and its beautiful beaches. There are 3 very spacious bedrooms fit for nobility, 2 with 160cm x 190cm beds (Italian queen size) and 1 with 2x 90cm x 190cm beds (Italian twin size). Two additional Italian twin size beds can be added. Living room, kitchen, dining area and private terrace with expansive view and the pool next to it, 2 spacious bathrooms with rain showers. Guests are free to roam the outdoor areas including the fruit garden and pick up fruits such as figs, plums, pears and almonds that grow around the property.
Professionally an engineer, I lived in Canada since I was 15 years old, and recently moved back to Italy. I love to travel, good food and wine and making new friends. I am in love with this beautiful region, and wish to share it with people who can appreciate it like I do. I speak fluent English, French and Italian.
The "White City" of Ostuni is magnificent and very lively at night with chic cafes and restos and boutique shopping. Puglia is known as one of Italy's best regions to eat well, and gastronomic offers range from Michelin-starred restaurants to Mom & Pop trattorias featuring the freshest ingredients. Ostuni is between two international airports (Brindisi and Bari) with direct flights from all over Europe, and also well-connected to the rest of the region; almost all tourist attractions are within an hour drive from the masseria. So the trulli of Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage and the Itria Valley, spectacular Polignano a Mare, gorgeous Lecce and the beaches Gallipoli in Salento are easy day trips.
