Informazioni sull'host
Enjoy Florence from comfortable digs in a centrally located neighborhood. You can see all of Florence and return to your cozy abode easily at the end of a long, enjoyable day filled with culture and good eats. After seeing David and eating wonderful Mediterranean cuisine, stroll over to the Duomo and climb the bell tower for an exquisite view of the Renaissance city of Leonardo and Michelangelo. Buses are at your doorstep, though you will probably prefer seeing Florence by foot
After 35 years lived in the United States I started feeling homesick for this beautiful city of Florence so I choose to come back and invest in this home. With the eyes of a tourist I looked for a house in the heart of the historic center. See you soon
Welcome to my newly renovated apartment located in the historical city center. The apartment is two block from Piazza San Marco, where you can find the original David in the Accademmia. Located in the same square is the church of San Marco filled with the masterpieces of Fra Angelico. Five minutes more by foot and you are in Piazza SS Annunziata where year round festivals are held such as the chocolate festival and the French Market. The Hospital of the Innocents, embellished with Della Robbia enamels, houses a state of the art museum which allows one to see and listen to the stories of orphans through the centuries. Don't miss the rooftop cafe with a spectacular view of the city! Three more important locales are nearby: San Lorenzo Market, Fortezza da Basso (where Pitti Fashion events are held), and the Piazza Duomo - the crown jewel of Florence.
