A hit of Palazzolo Acreide are the variety of historical layers, as shown by the monuments of outstanding artistic and architectural. There are several routes to follow but surely the dual nature of Palazzolo Acreide is in being a Baroque center UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002 and an archaeological site of immense interest. Starting from the baroque, are definitely worth visiting the two buildings and a World Heritage Site, that is, the churches of St. Paul and St. Sebastian, the triumph of the late Baroque and collegiate ibleo of greatest importance that organize the most important festivals of the city together with that St. Michael, venerated in the church. To remember among the many church buildings also the Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas, the Church of the Annunciation with the façade characterized by four magnificent spiral columns and the Church of the Immaculate: it holds within it a statue of the Madonna and Child famous Dalmatian sculptor Francesco Laurana, dating from the fifteenth century.
