The “Home Gallery 101″ is a brand new bed & breakfast, opened up in february 2015; it is located in the center of Rome, on the 1st floor of a residential building in Via Cairoli 101, a quiet street just a short walk away from Piazza Vittorio. Our B & B is an excellent starting point for exploring the historical attractions of Rome; we are only 300 meters from the subway station (Line “A”, Piazza Vittorio) and 10 minutes walking from Termini (the central station) other than numerous bus stops, tram station stops and a taxi points. The Coliseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum can be reached by foot in about 20 minutes, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Basilica of St. John are just around the corner. A few bus stops away or if preferred, by subway, the most celebrated sights in Rome can be all easily reached from our location. The bedrooms, each with private bath facilities, are spacious, bright, and comfortable furnished in an elegant and modern-style, with TV-LCD, air conditioning, private safe and free Wi-Fi.

The Esquilino neighbourhood resides atop one of the famous Seven Hills of Rome, asserting its reputation as one of Rome’s original neighbourhoods. Until the late 19th century, Esquilino was considered practically a suburban niche in the city centre. Upon the unification of Italy with Rome as its capital, Esquilino experienced a rich and quick urban development. The bustling neighbourhood is full of turn-of-the-century charm and is now a multi-cultural mélange. The centre of Esquilino is Piazza Vittoria, a 20th-century-designed square piazza with basketball courts, palm trees and ancient ruins. Additional landmarks include the large Termini station, whose area is the northern third of the neighbourhood and the Basilica of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in its southernmost corner. Esquilino is surrounded by the following neighbourhoods: Monti, Castro Pretorio, San Lorenzo, Appia Nuova and Est. Rome’s ‘it’ neighbourhood, Monti, flanks Esquilino to its west, slightly downhill from Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore. In front of Termini train station and to the north is the congested Castro Pretorio whereas Appia Nuova is to Esquilino’s south.
