A beautiful cottage with panoramic views of the Apuane mountain range and the marble caves where Michelangelo began his works and where the marble mines and caves are still in working mode today. A charming stone cottage with original features, wood beamed ceilings and characteristics of Tuscany of old, beautifully renovated with all the modern conveniences needed for today's traveler. Two bedrooms with original antique furnishings from the Luniginia area where we are located in Tuscany, with two bathrooms, one offering a large bathtub with stupendous views, the other a full-sized walk in shower with lots of space for a family of four, or a further divan sofa bed in the downstairs living area should an extra bed be required. The beauty of this property is its positioning and breathtaking views of the now only the mountains but the entire valley of beautiful chestnut trees and forest which surround us of the Apuane State National Park. Plenty of places to walk, hike, bike, climb, fish, swim or just kick back and soak in the views. Full sized dining room, living room and kitchen complete the indoor areas all fully equipped with kitchen utensils, washing machine and wi fi!
Casa Michele was our home for 7 years, so not a "rental property" - but a house filled with charm and personal furnishings offering a real Tuscan experience of living amongst the inhabitants of the village of Luscignano. I moved from the USA and my corporate world of 22 years of the beauty industry to live amongst these gracious and warm people, and spent happy years in the village running a rental property business with properties not only in Lunigiana but all over Tuscany as far afield as Florence, Siena and beyond. I now live in London but have a managers who meet and greet you on arrival and take care of you settling you into Casa Michele and providing you with your keys on arrival.
A charming hilltop village with spectacular views, peaceful and perfect for those who want to unwind, relax and kick back. However, we are also a short drive (35 minutes) to the local highway which can take you to places of interest such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence or even Siena, if these form part of your travel itinerary. We are also 45 minutes to the sea and the beaches of Marinella, or further down the cost beautiful Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, and don't miss beautiful Lerici where you can board one of the boats leaving for the Cinque Terre - a must see on a holiday to our property in Luscignano!
