Of interest to be visited on the Amalficoast are the Emerald Grotto (Grotta dello Smeraldo), the villages Positano with its many boutiques with Positano-fashion, Amalfi with his cathedral Duomo S. Andrea, the arsenals and the Paper Museum, Ravello with its villas and gardens and Vietri sul Mare with his ceramic-factories, Weekly markets you can visit every wednesday morning in Amalfi and every friday morning in Maiori (except august). In the surrounding are accessible by public transport (or car), the archaeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii, Vesuvius, the temples of Paestum and Sorrento and the island of Capri (by boat) For hikers there are plenty of itineraries
