Situated just up the mountainside above Toscolano, the villa has absolutely breathtaking lake views, and offers complete privacy in nature just 4km from town. The villa interiors are architect designed and immaculately rennovated. The inside is open, airy and bright, with floor to ceiling glass walls and doors letting in the absolutely breathtaking view from all angles. The furnishings and fittings are high quality, chosen for both elegance and total comfort. Please Note: The access road, though narrow, is paved and not too difficult. There is one steep spot, a climb of about 20m. Drivers unused to mountain roads or manual transmissions should rent automatic cars. The modern stylised railings on the terraces have large gaps and small children must be surpervised at all times. Air Conditioning in the bedrooms only. NB: Heating fuel is an optional extra, 42 euros per day if used. The property is in the mountains, with fantastic mountain biking trails as well as rock climbing spots right nearby. There is a restaurant with riding stables next door, and another excellent Osteria restaurant/bar in the village of Gaino about 1km away. The town of Toscolano with all its services, shops, restaurants, archeological sites and, of course, pristine pebble beaches is about a 5-10 minute drive away, about 5km. Toscolano Maderno is a lively town, with beautiful beaches, plenty of excellent restaurants, bars, and activities. There are also many historical places of interest, including ancient Roman ruins and the duomo built on the original site of a ancient Roman Temple. From Toscolano, you are 1km further down the road to the town of Maderno, with a ferry port to take you to any other town on the lake.
